The novella “The Little Fountain Speaks” is thematically and motivically connected to Skopje and contributes to the rich and diverse history that Macedonian writers depict in their works. It is a piece of prose based on the legend of Tase’s little fountain at the foot of Mount Vodno, presented as a kind of sad and devastating tale from the time of Ottoman rule, with the atrocities and defeats it brought along.
